I provide personalised consultations for parents who want to better understand their child's ADHD, neurodivergence, learning needs and educational experience.
My role is to help you understand your child's individual profile, explore practical strategies and feel more confident when making decisions about support.
-
I support parents of school-aged children and young people, from primary through to secondary education.
My experience includes working with children across different stages of their educational journey, helping families understand ADHD, neurodivergence, SEND and the challenges that can arise at different ages.
This may include children who are:
beginning school or facing early learning challenges;
navigating primary or secondary education;
experiencing difficulties with organisation, independence or emotional wellbeing;
preparing for transitions between schools or stages of education.

No. I do not provide tutoring, subject teaching or homework support.
My work focuses on helping parents understand the reasons behind their child's challenges and identifying practical approaches that may support their learning, confidence, wellbeing and relationship with education.
-
My consultations are primarily parent-focused.
I believe parents are central to understanding their child, and my role is to provide you with the knowledge, guidance and strategies you need to support your child effectively.
In some circumstances, and depending on the situation, we can discuss what type of involvement may be appropriate.

No. I do not provide medical diagnoses.

Many parents contact me before a diagnosis has been made because they are trying to better understand their child's experiences and challenges.
A consultation can help you explore your concerns, understand possible needs and consider appropriate next steps.

Yes. I support parents who are seeking a better understanding of their daughters’ experiences with ADHD and neurodivergence.
ADHD can present differently in girls and young women, and some may go unnoticed for many years because their challenges are less visible. Some girls become very skilled at masking their difficulties, appearing as though they are coping while experiencing significant internal effort, stress or overwhelm.
Parents may notice difficulties with:
organisation, planning and managing everyday tasks;
maintaining attention, especially when tasks feel demanding or uninteresting;
emotional regulation and feeling overwhelmed;
perfectionism, anxiety or fear of failure;
confidence and self-esteem;
friendships and social expectations;
exhaustion from trying to meet expectations or "fit in".
Some girls and young women are identified later because their strengths, compliance or ability to work hard can hide the challenges they are experiencing.
I help parents explore their daughter’s individual strengths, needs and experiences, and consider practical ways to support confidence, wellbeing and success at home and in education.
Every young person is different. The aim is not to change who they are, but to understand what helps them thrive.

Many parents find it difficult to know what questions to ask or how to communicate their child's needs effectively.
I can help you understand school feedback, prepare for conversations with teachers and support staff, and think through practical ways to work collaboratively with school.
My aim is to help you feel informed and confident when advocating for your child.

Yes.
I support parents who are concerned about school anxiety, difficulties attending school and Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA).
School avoidance is often a sign that a child is experiencing difficulties that need to be understood and supported. Together, we can explore what may be contributing to your child's experience and consider practical, supportive next steps.
